Wow!

Okay, first, I am so excited that my son will live in this world we are currently creating. So many Americans got out there and voted and yesterday we saw the power of the people come to life! We have the first African American president now, and Barack Obama brings grace to our country and humility. He asks us to be open, honest, and invites our nation to engage. I am so excited as Obama supports Early Childhood Education, Social programs, and findng way to care for one another in our country and abroad. I have hope! We can be tolerant and intelligent, and strong as a nation, and I hope we can join together. I hope my son will grow up in a nation where we respect differences, and try to learn to understand each other through information and research moving beyond appearances, race, gender, class, and truly learn to love each other. We can be dignified. Yes, we can!
